The Weak is an award-winning story from writer Billy Hanson, which shows us the rarely seen world of historical horror fiction.
Initially conceived as a feature film, the screenplay was selected as a finalist in several competitions and was nominated for Best Horror Screenplay at Shriekfest 2013 in Hollywood, CA.
Even after the screenplay's acclaim, the creators found that the story lends itself to the freedom and broad imagination of the graphic novel form, and the project began moving forward as such.
When the able-bodied men leave to fight in the Civil War, a town full of women, children and elderly must defend themselves against the blood thirsty monsters who can sense weakness, and a ruthless mad man with the same ability, in the swamps of North Florida.
